Now i've left halls and i've moved into a really nice flat for my second year of uni I want to make my room really nice. I've been looking for lots of little things that will brighten it up that are a bit shabby chic and aren't too expensive. eBay is really good for cheaper versions of the things you can get on the high street and as always i'm loving what Ikea has to offer too.
1. Floral Bunting · eBay
There are lots of different styles of bunting to choose from but this one is one of my favourites. I think bunting is a really nice way of brightening up a room without much effort. As i'm not allowed to stick anything on my walls without losing my deposit this is a perfect option for a uni room.
2. Shabby Chic Frame · Ikea
I love this frame and the only problem i'm having is deciding which photo I want to put in it! I'm hoping to buy a few of these as they aren't too expensive and can be used both vertically and horizontally.
3. Yankee Candle · eBay
I love Yankee Candles as they smell amazing and come in so many different scents. This one is reasonably priced and is one of my favourite scents; candles are a must have for me as I love my room to smell nice!
4. Vintage Pot · Ikea
This little plant pot has featured on lots of blogs and i'm hoping to buy a couple to store both pens and my makeup brushes in. I normally keep mine in a mug but i've been on the hunt for something a bit taller as they sometimes fall out so this is perfect and really affordable too.
5. Owl Door Stop · Sass & Belle
Now i'm living with people I like i'm happier to have my door open and I hate how fire doors always slam shut so a door stop is a must have. This Sass & Belle doorstop is something i've loved for a while and there are lots of different prints to choose from :)
6. Up Movie Picture · James Hance
I'm undecided on whether to buy this for my uni room or at home but 'Up' is one of the cutest films i've ever seen and I can't resist this painting. I first spotted it on Tumblr and knew I needed it in my life so i'm definitely ordering it soon!
7. Cream Bean Cube · Home Bargains
This bean cube is perfect for either my room or for watching TV in the living room as there isn't always room for everyone on the sofa. It's one of the cheapest i've found and goes with everything too.
8. Artificial Flowers · Ikea
These flowers are perfect for brightening up my room and come in lots of colours and styles so i'm spoilt for choice. I need to find a nice vase for them; I was thinking of getting some of the glass Coca Cola bottles to put them in as it's a bit quirkier than a plain vase.
9. Beach Hut & London Cushions · eBay
I saw these on Victoria's eBay post and fell in love with them. At £9.99 each they aren't the cheapest cushions in the world but I love all the different prints they come in and I found it hard to pick my favourites.
