Book Review: Shopaholic Series by Sophie Kinsella

Shopaholic Sophie Kinsella

I love the Shopaholic series of books! I've just finished reading them all one after the other and i'm now reading some of Sophie Kinsella's other books. I also watched Confessions of a Shopaholic on DVD after I had read them - the characters weren't anything like how I imagined them so i'm glad I watched it after I read the books.

I couldn't really choose a favourite as they're all quite different but I would definetly recommend them if you haven't already read them. I love how they can make you laugh and make you cry and they keep you hooked so you never want to put them down.

I bought mine from ASDA as they were on an offer for 2 for £8 but you can also find them on Amazon for a good price too. If you haven't read these then what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed!

I'm also really excited for the new book in the series which I think is called Mini Shopaholic and is out around September this year. Are there any similar books to these that you'd recommend?

  4. I almost always get disappointed when I see the film version of a book, especially if it's a book I really love! Never comes close to what my imagination has pictured :) Guess it's like that for everybody.

Never read these books though. May give them a go seeing as you liked them so much :)

  5. I love these books, have also read them all and they actually make me LOL! I think they're easy reading, and I don't read a lot, so it's always good.
I liked the film, but they did change it a bit, I wasn't disapointed though

  9. I read the first 2 of the series. I need to catch up!

Marian Keyes' books are quite similar (they all feature 20- o 30-something charachters, and deal with friends, work, love...). I like all of them, but my favorite is 'Sushi for beginners'.

I didn't like the film though... I always think the films spoil the books!
Have you read any books by Marian Keyes or Cecelia Aherne? They're similar writers, I'm obsessed with their books! xx
