Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Review

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

The Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish* is one of Liz Earle's most popular products so I had really high expectations about what it could do for my skin. There are lots of good reviews for this product from people of all ages as it's gentle formula means that it works well on all skin types. I've used cleansers from a wide range of brands but i've never found one that i've been completely happy with.

The Cleanse and Polish isn't like any of the cleansers I have previously used: it has really thick creamy consistency, a bit like a moisturiser and is used on a dry face. You then remove it with a warm damp muslin cloth. I like to remove the majority of my make-up with some micellar water first and then use this to cleanse my skin completely so that it really skins into my skin.

This product is fantastic at removing any last bits of mascara, it's a lot better than any other cleansers i've tried and is really gentle so minimises any damage or tugging to your eyes. Since writing this review originally, I've repurchased this product several times after being sent my first bottle to try back in 2010 and it's a product that I know makes a real difference to my skin so i'd definitely recommend it if your skin is in need of a treat or you're looking to try a new skincare brand.

I'm not sure whether it's this cleanser, the toner or the moisturiser that has made the biggest difference but i'm loving how much clearer my skin is. The main difference is that my skin looks softer and more radiant and my dry skin has almost completely disappeared so that I get a much better foundation application.

Overall I love this product and will definitely continue to repurchase it even though it is a more higher end cleanser. A Cleanse & Polish Starter Kit contains two Muslin Cloths and a 100ml Cleanser and is priced at £15.50 from the Liz Earle website.

  1. Oh I have heard such good thing about this. I like the Sanctuary version which is about £10 but often cheaper using a Boots voucher.
