Urban Decay Preen Palette

I don't really have any products which have been special favourites this month but I had to give the Urban Decay Preen Palette a special mention!

Urban Decay Preen Palette

I've been using it a lot for blending in the outer corner as the colours in it are brilliant. Smog, Toasted and Snatch are my favourites although i'm thinking of trying out the other colours for a brighter look. The palette is peacock inspired as you can see by the pretty packaging, I love how it all matches and is really good quality too. Urban Decay eyeliners are always going to be one of my favourites to use, I love how easy they apply and the consistency is smooth and stays on all day and this palette comes with Zero which is black.

The eyeshadows are really good quality and so easy to blend - they're the only thing i've been using recently! I love how soft they are and you don't need much to get a really nice colour payoff. The pigmentation is brilliant on all of them especially Painkiller and Flash which are really bright. The only thing I don't like is the size of the glitter in Snatch. I find that it is too big so can look really badly applied as it goes everywhere! I love the eyeshadow colour but I think it would have been better if there was just a bit of a shimmer to it instead.

I know you can buy the colours individually so i'd really recommend having a look at Smog and Toasted although its probably cheaper to buy them in a palette. I was also pleased to see that Urban Decay don't test on animals.

Hopefully you can get an idea of the colours from the swatches below. These were all applied dry without a primer so for a more intense colour payoff I like to use a primer.

I'm going to have a look at the other Urban Decay Naked Palettes as I love neutral shades and you get a really good range of colours in them and they are brilliant quality. If anyone has any Urban Decay shadows that they'd like to recommend, please let me know. I'd also like to give a special mention to Laura as I won this in her giveaway :)

  6. It looks really great! Except I hate how UD palettes always have zero liner! Or most of them do. Oh, btw, I'm having a giveaway on my blog if you are interested!

  8. I live by UD, and I have had my eye on this pallette for a while now! The packaging is so pretty :)

I love the Book Of Shadows series but there so delicate to be carrying about in my bag. It would be my luck to smash all the shadows!

I love smog and toasted, they're so pretty :D
I definately recomend looking at the other UD palettes, it's a great way of getting lots of bright colours without having to pay for them seperately :)

  10. This looks like a really nice palette. Are all the shadows very glittery? I usually bypass the UD shadows because of this, but in your swatches they look smooth and gorgeous.
