I got a surprise package though the post a few weeks ago from Eyeko. They sent me some of their newer products to review including the Posh Polish which im wearing today. I've been wanting a colour like this for a while; I was lusting after the Chanel Particuliere but im not the kind of person to spend £16 on a nail polish! For now im happy to be wearing this colour!
Although im in love with the colour the formulation of the Eyeko Posh Polish* isnt great; I found that it was too thick so application was really messy and it took forever to dry! I ended up adding a little bit of nail polish remover to it just to try and thin it down and make it useable which I know isnt great but it seemed like the best solution. The new packaging of these polishes is really nice. I love the thinness of the bottles and they are a lot less messy than the old milk bottle style packaging they had before.
I think Eyeko could be onto a winner if they had the same formulation as Barry M for all their polishes but with their brilliant range of colours. I probably wouldnt repurchase this polish simply because it is so difficult to use - im hoping that the other polishes I was sent will have a thinner consistency. I would recommend this polish to anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to the Chanel polish - you just need the patience to wait for it to dry and good nail painting skills to deal with the thick polish!
You can buy this polish from the Eyeko website for £3.50. For a free gift with your order add my ambassador code: E2757 into the comments box. I'm planning to do a NOTD post for the Vampira and Petite Polishes soon. I'm also thinking of doing a comparison post for this and the Barry M Mushroom polish too.
I really like the Posh Polish colour - I think it'll be a great summer workday colour. My bottle wasn't as thick as what you've described yours as so maybe you just had a funny bottle. I've also bought the Tea Rose colour and find that the colouring is fantastic. I would almost say I prefer them to Barry M - I just wish the bottle were a bit bigger :-)
