I wanted to do this post to share my experience with H&M online recently as it's a fairly new shop and I know some people might not have used it yet. I made my first order about a month ago and I made another one yesterday. I was quite excited as my local H&M is always cluttered and I can never find anything I like. The website is quite easy to use and you can see the clothes as part of a look and also individually which is good and gives you a better idea of if something will suit you. The majority of things are in stock in all sizes which is good as my local H&M doesn't often have things in every size. When you sign up you don't have a password; you are given a PIN number which you can change. This is a bit different but I don't mind if it's just for this site.
I ordered two dresses and a bracelet with my first order. Paying was really easy and simple and was similar to most other online shops. The one thing which I really don't like is that it cost me £3.90 for delivery and it said estimated one week. Not only that but you don't get a proper delivery date so you have no idea when it will come. There is a link to the courier's site but it said 'awaiting shipment details' and never changed. My package took just over a week to arrive which was a bit disappointing as with other similar sites it arrives in about three days for that price.
It would be really good if there were more option for delivery similar to ASOS such as Next Day and Super Saver as you can't really get anything quickly from H&M. I ended up keeping one of the dresses and taking the other one back. I decided to take it to my local H&M as it's a lot easier than trusting Royal Mail to return it. There were no problems with taking it back and I got a H&M giftcard for the amount as they don't put the money back on your debit card. I ended up buying a skirt with it at the same time anyway so it was fairly straightforward.
Overall shopping with H&M online was good and I will probably make a few more orders but it would be nice if shipping was faster and cheaper and you could track your package properly. I hope this was useful to anyone thinking of using H&M Online, let me know of your experiences.
Good and bad points then. The delivery does seem really slow. The problem I have with H&M, as u say, is that it is always so cluttered looking. I hate shopping usually so always stay clear of H&M as it confuses me even more! The online store might be an option for me if the clothes are a lot easier to view!

OMG shipping took over a week ... thats really bad and for £3.90!! With it being a new online troe it may get better! fingers crossed!

I also never have any patience when in H&M, so many things are hidden away and you really need to take your time looking through! So il defo need to check the online store. Thats a bit mental about the shipping time tho... maybe they will improve on it further down the line?! xx

ReplyDeleteI placed my order on 23 September and had still not received it over a month later. I was too busy to chase it up but gave them a call today to find out they can't deliver to work addresses. Their website doesn't mention that and even though they have my e-mail and phone number they failed to tell me there was a problem with my order. When I logged in to my account I could view the order and it didn't say there was a problem with the delivery. I've now cancelled the order and won't be ordering from their website again. Very poor user experience, they have to learn a thing or two from ASOS and New Look.

ReplyDeleteit is terrible! i ordered on the 1st feb and they go its out for the 6th. it is now the 15th feb! where is my order h & m? i also ordered something else 2 days later paid postage etc and that arrived within a week... will have to ring them up in the morning... terrible!
ReplyDeleteDO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE!!! I ORDERED TROUSERS AND BEEN TOLD IT WAS ON IT'S WAY TO ME ON THE 29TH MARCH! NOW 5TH APRIL! I KNOW IT'S NOT TOO LONG BUT IT REALLY SHOULD BE STATED BEFORE PURCHASING AN ITEM! IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD ORDERED OFF THE WEBSITE AND WILL DEFO BE THE LAST! VERY VERY POOR SERVICE!
ReplyDeleteTheir delivery is awful. When it’s small packet it’s fine as they just use regular mail but when it’s a bulk order they use this nameless courier company call Hermes.
ReplyDeleteThis courier company is just awful. I ordered around six items and their first attempt of delivery was 30 Mar. As you know H&M won’t send the item to other than home address which is real pain. I knew I won’t receive the item since I don’t get back home until 6pm. The driver left a note with phone number and his initial but there’s no tracking number for the item and no real detail of anything! I called the number several time but went straight to the voice mail. I left a message asking the driver to leave the parcel with my neighbor for the next delivery attempt, but as I suspected nothing happened. I’ve also wrote to customer service several times, requesting them to contact the courier company and make sure they’ll leave the parcel with my neighbor next time…though this all ended in waste of time.
After that first delivery the driver just left blank note either in front of my flat door or outside of apartment building. My delivery eventually got automatically cancelled. I had to call the customer service to try and sort this out. (surely they can deliver after 6pm or on Sat.?!) I had to re-order all the items again, giving my details over the phone. The worst part is one of the dress I wanted is now out of the stock while the one I ordered is heading back to H&M warehouse!!! They told me to call back in few days time for the chance of the dress being back in stock somehow but didn’t really offer me any other options.
Now I’m waiting for my re-ordered goods to arrive…supposedly dispatched on 13th Fri. but so far I haven’t seen any notes outside my door and now it’s 18th Wed. There’s no tracking record on web site either, saying it’ll be updated soon. It seems I just have to call the customer service once more and go through my detail all over again!!!! (I also need to mention them that I haven’t had my refund for the delivery they failed the fist time…it was 60GBP so I’m not letting this go.) NEVER AGAIN making bulk order from H&M!!!
