Eyeko recently sent me a couple of their new lip products to try out. I've tried their Fat Balms before and have them in Raspberry and Mint which are lovely and then I have a really old Strawberry one which I bought when they very first came out. I was sent one of the newly designed fat balms in Strawberry which can be used to "Create the perfect pink pout to enhance your natural lip colour and dab on to cheeks too for a fruity flush."
I really love the colour it gives to my lips; it isn't too red and reminds more of a red toned lip balm which is great for winter and really wearable as it adds the perfect amount of colour to your lips. I haven't tried it as a blush as I tend to prefer powder blushes but it's something I will consider trying. It also smells lovely and has definitely inspired me to purchase the Fat Balm in Frosting which i'm sure will smell gorgeous and hopefully have a lovely taste too :) I really like the packaging - it's nice that it comes in a cute box and I love the cartoon style design which is a bit different for each of the shades.
I love the packaging of the Fat Balm too and I think the new colour of it is more modern than the previous baby pink colour it had. Obviously it is called a 'Fat' Balm for a reason and I do think the size of it makes it a bit tricky to apply so it's the kind of product you could use in a rush!
There are five shades of Fat Balm available to purchase: Strawberry, Raspberry, Mint, Cherry, Toffee and Frosting. They retail at £6 each which I think is reasonable as they are definitely going to last a while and is something you could use on a day to day basis.
I was also sent one of the new Eyeko London Lip Gloss Tubes in Primrose Hill which is described as
"A pretty lilac shimmer for girls on the go. This suits-all shade is ultra flattering."
I'm not a huge fan of lip gloss tubes as they seem a bit messy but I really love the colour of this lip gloss. It's a really wearable shade that you could wear at any time and isn't too sparkly. It isn't really sticky like some lipglosses - i'm not in love with the consistency but i'm happy to wear it for the lovely colour and the thickness helps it to last quite a while. I love the scent of the lipgloss; I can't work out what it smells of but it's really sweet and that is definitely a bonus. There are six shades in the range which are all named after places in London. There are a variety of pretty shades so there will be a colour for everyone.
Eyeko's Lip Gloss Tubes are £6.50 each which I think is a quite pricey for a lipgloss especially when you compare it to other brands. As well as buying them individually you can also get them in two sets - Glossy Posse and West End Girls which each contain three of the lipglosses so they work out a bit cheaper as you get one for free.
I hope this post was helpful for anyone who is thinking of purchasing either of these products. You can find more information about them on the Eyeko website and for a free gift with your order add my ambassador code: E2757 into the comments box.
