You Look At Me It's Like You Hit Me With Lightning

.1. I failed my driving test on Tuesday so probably not the best start to the week haha. To be honest I was more angry than upset, I don't think the examiner could have been any more unreasonable but she is known as being the worst one at the test centre so it was just bad luck. Third time lucky next time I hope!

.2. I went to Ask for lunch today as it's my brother's birthday and I had a lovely Tropical Pizza followed by Lemon Tart. I don't eat out often so it was a really nice treat especially as I love Italian food! I've been quite organised this week as I bought a pretty diary from Paperchase and i've used it everyday so i'm quite proud of myself. It hasn't helped to motivate me to do my revision though as I have a business exam in 2 weeks and I haven't opened a book!

.3.  I am in love with Kelly's post 'Blog like you read no other'. I always try to write about the things that interest me and not be swayed by what everyone else seems to be writing about. We are all influenced by the blogs we read in one way or another but I think it's really important to keep to your own writing style, be yourself and write about the things that you actually like. I like to keep away from any 'drama' in the blogging community as I write this blog because I enjoy writing and talking to people with same interests as me; i'm not here to experience the same kind of crap that goes on at 6th Form as this is my escape! I have seen a couple of posts that are similar to ones i've written myself and as much as I don't like being 'copied' I like to keep my head above the clouds and be flattered that people are influenced by what i'm writing. I'm not going to raise it with the people that have done it because I hate causing drama and I don't think it's worth it - i'm not here to make enemies! I'm sure it's a topic that everyone has an opinion on so i'd love to hear what you think :)

  1. Lovely post as always :-) Sorry to hear about your test, it's so unlucky when you get a harsh examiner but I'm positive you'll pass next time :-D And couldn't agree more about writing for yourself on blogs, you've got a brilliant writing style :-D x

  7. That's a shame about your driving test - good luck for the next one! I passed mine third time :)
I loved Kelly's post too -it's inevitable that people are going to post about similar things as we're all interested in the same products and are in the "beauty community". It's definitely true that you can't go wrong if you stick to writing posts that you enjoy writing and that you'd want to read as a blog reader.

  8. Sorry about your driving test. It took me 2 goes.
I get influenced by other blogs sometimes, I think that's a great idea for a post, but always write it in my own words and my own pictures. I try writing as if I'm talking to my friends rather than strangers.

  12. Chin up about your test! I failed with only 3 minors, at the very last second because the woman didn't look and claimed I didn't hit the indicator in time...She was too busy filing her nails...yes you read that right! I failed the second time because I paniced completely on a reverse park, so I accept that was my own fault! You'll do great next time I'm sure! x

  14. Aw no, I'm so sorry to hear about your driving test. My uncle is a driving instructor and he was telling me how hard they're making them and how they just keep adding extra things. It totally puts me off driving. Good luck with the next one :)

Thank you SOO much for mentioning me, it means so much! xx

  18. Aw sorry about your test, fourth time lucky for me! My first go I had the lady everyone dreads at the Bristol test centre, she almost put me off entirely. Luckily my friend failed seven times before she passed, made me feel much better :)

  19. Sorry to hear about your driving test. I seemed to get the token unreasonable examiner when I took mine! Every centre must have one!

  20. ooh yeah defiantely a topic with different opinions! personally i read tons of blogs and probably inadvertantly have written posts similar to others without even realising :'). but if someone had a near identical post to me & i was worried people would think i was copying i guess the dates would show to readers that it was me who wrote it first if that makes sense :). it could get really annoying though :O. i think you have a really good attitude keeping out of the drama :). sometimes i see things and i'm just like '....seriously?!' but i dont want to start a blog war haha so i usually just leave it :') xxx
