.1. I booked my uni accommodation earlier this week; I opted for a mixed flat but i've ended up in a flat with 5 other girls. Not 100% sure how I feel about it as it could get bitchy but equally we could all get on really well! I've found a couple of the girls online so it will be nice to talk to them before we move in although it kind of ruins the surprise of meeting new people. I know people say it all the time but it will be nice to move to uni and have a fresh start because I don't feel like I can totally be myself around the people at 6th Form.
.2. This week I haven't been up to much. I've had quite a few coursework deadlines and just generally lots of work to do. I also went back to 6th Form which has been alright as we've just moved into a brand new building so if we're late or don't do our work we just blame all the problems with the new equipment ;)
.3. I voted for the first time on Thursday which was nice. I'm not interested in politics and I don't know a lot about it but I didn't want my vote to be wasted which is why I did it. I know some people say you shouldn't vote if you don't really understand it but everyone has a right to vote and I did have a reason behind what I voted for :)
♫ I'm currently listening to: Delphic - Remain and David Guetta - Where Dem' Girls At?
ahh cool where did you decide to go for uni (obv not exact one but area in case theres nutters viewing!) xx
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the flat! And you're right - it could go either way - I hope that does not happen to me!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your accommodation will be fine, if not, you'll have something interesting and bitchy to blog about ;). Meeting new people is always fun! What uni are you going to?

i'm sure you'll be fine with the accomodation, although i hate how bitchy girls can be!
ReplyDeletethe picture, nomonomnom. I hate when I get hungry while browsing my faovurite blogs, haha
ReplyDeleteHey Caz,
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll be ok in an all girl accommodation at least you'll be able to speak about girlie things like make up : )
It's not the end of the world if you don't get on with them though because you'll find you probably will spend a lot of time socialising with the people on your course as well as other people in flats near you.
I know you were looking at Bournemouth as one of your options, if this is the one you've picked I'd be welcome to share my experiences with you and provide you with some great places to visit etc before you get there : )
You find me on twitter @GatheringtheDs
xx
When I applied for fresher accommodation I wanted mixed but ended up in all girls. Luckily it ended up being fine, i think you get those bitchy moments even in a mixed flat but luckily everyone has their own rooms to hide away in. You just have to remember that everyone is in the same boat when you move in.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry too much about the flat. I checked the box for mixed but ended up with 5 other girls too and we got on great. 2 of them are still my best best friends :D

I hope the flat situation goes okay! I'm sure it will :) Where do you hope to go to uni? I'm so excited to be able to vote even though I have no idea what they do! :) xxx
ReplyDeleteHopefully you'll get some really nice girls in your flat but just incase you're unlucky, there will be so many other people in the same halls all wanting to make friends that you will easily find people you get on with :) Really excited for you xx
ReplyDeleteHope your uni accommodation works out - I'm sure it will :)
ReplyDeleteI remember when I voted for the first time, it was definitely one of those "wow, I'm an adult now" moments! x
Oh exciting about the accommodation Caz! I opted for a mixed flat and was in a flat of 5 guys and 4 other girls and it was an interesting mix, shall we say! I'm sure you'll get along with them, the Uni scene is totally different because you live with everyone and you'll defz be yourself! Good luck with your coursework sweet! (:
ReplyDeleteEek how exciting! I'm sure you'll all get on really well (:,xx
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about living with all girls, I lived with all girls in my first year and they're all amazing people. We've never had one arguement EVER! We buy eachother cakes when we're all working hard and have deadlines and we'd take study breaks together and have movie nights. We got a flat together in our second year and I would have loved to live with them this year too had we been able to.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you're going to enjoy yourself :) xxxx
I've found out living with 5 girls is easier; tidier and quieter. Also even if you all don't get on there's a lot of just putting up with it as you have to live together.
ReplyDeleteAlso one girl we arn't as good friends with and you find people go to their friends houses and do their own thing rather than causes problems/trouble.
You'll love it. What uni have you opted for?
xxxx
I'm sure you'll love your new flat! I was the exact opposite to you when I moved to uni - I applied for an all-girl flat and ended up in mixed. In the end, I'm glad it worked out like it did, but all my friends who were in all-girl flats had equally great flatmates so I'm sure there's nothing to worry about!
ReplyDeleteOoh how exciting, i'd of love to of gone to uni but I dropped out of college as I hated it! I'm sure it'll be fine :) x
ReplyDeleteThose waffles look really good.
ReplyDeleteMy friend had the same thoughts about you before she moved in with her flat mates but it all ended well. I'm sure you'll fit in well too! :)
And voting! It's gonna be my first time voting this year too, so it's gonna be quite an experience. It's true though, don't waste a vote by not voting. Never know what might happen!
Have a lovely day!x
ahhh thanks for the link my dear! only just seen this as been so busy...you'll love your flat, i know what you mean about worrying about living with all girls, but to be honest it'll probs be better! and cleaner ;) exciting!
