I mentioned my plans to decorate my room a little while ago and fingers crossed i'll be starting it in the next week. I thought i'd share some of my inspiration with you!
I want it to be shabby chic but I kind of want to put my own twist on it; i'm not sure how but i'm sure i'll think of something! I love retro things like the postage stamp rug but i'm sure it would be expensive! I've been wanting some form of wall art like a canvas of a city print, maybe New York or London but I don't think it would go with the wallpaper!
I'm not 100% sure exactly what i'm doing with my room yet - I know I want all the walls painted and then one wall wallpapered but that's about it! My room has a bit of an awkward layout but i'd like to change it around and make it a bit neater. I suppose I need to work out where I want things soon so that if I buy any new furniture it will actually fit!
I love all this stuff (I have that Paperchase photoframe, it's lovely) - I'm currently trying to decide how to decorate our spare room/my dressing room at the moment, I'm making it girlier by the day without letting on to my boyfriend :-)
ReplyDeleteAll of this looks amazing! I bet your room will look absolutely stunning when finished! I wish i had a beautiful room to decorate haha!:) xx
ReplyDeleteLove your room ideas! Mine is shabby chic and its hard to get things to all match together but i guess if you mix all the vintage union jack stuff in with it then you can darker some of your colours to fit with the new york scene you want! its these time i wish i had a few rooms to fit in with what i want hehe! check ebay out just type shabby chic got some lovely stuff there and also next! and keep a look out in hmv at there posters i have audrey hepburn posters but they do city scenes and keep clam carry on posters
ReplyDeleteI love everything especially the wallpaper, bunting and the clock. How about getting a few small postcard of New York? I've seen a lot with the city in black and white but with the cabs still yellow. I think if you stuck maybe three somewhere on a plain wall it would look so cute. :) xxx
