Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Furore

Described as a Champagne Peach Shimmer, Illamasqua's Pure Pigment in Furore is the one of the nicest eye products i've ever used. It's so easily wearable either on it's own or blended with other colours and after using up the tiny sample I had, I wasn't sure if I could justify spending £15.50 on a full sized pot as I tend to stick to high street products when it comes to makeup. I thought i'd have a look and see if it was still on the Illamasqua website and found that it was reduced down to £8 for Easter so knowing how much i'd use it I decided to make my first Illamasqua purchase and I definitely haven't been disappointed!

I really like the packaging and although it's a bit smaller than I expected I know it will last me for quite a few years and become a staple in my makeup bag. It is a bit fiddly and because there's a lot of product in a small space it's so easy to spill it everywhere but i've learnt to be careful when I open it! I tend to stick to more neutral shades and this shade is so versatile and can be used for any kind of look; at the minute i'm loving blending it with Urban Decay's Toasted for a simple everyday look.

Although i've used pigments before I tend to play it safe and stick to my eyeshadow palettes simply because they're easier to use. I've found that with a bit of patience and a base like Urban Decay's Primer Potion pigments are just as easy to use and if anything, last a little bit longer. I don't think I would pay £15.50 for another Illamasqua Pure Pigment but if they were to do another offer i'd definitely purchase a few more colours.

  1. Crikey, the sample you won in my giveaway in 2009? You made that last a bloody long time! :-)
