Review: Topshop Beauty - Nail and Lips

When Topshop released their makeup collection a few years ago I didn't really have high hopes for it. I expected it to be overpriced and poor quality but I couldn't have been more wrong.

The first thing I tried were the nail polishes; Topshop's range is huge and there's always a colour i'm lusting after. Although I only have three polishes in my (far too big) nail polish collection I do find myself reaching for them a lot more often than the others. The consistency of these polishes is perfect. Not too thick and they dry quite quickly so you can paint your nails in a rush! You only tend to need about two coats but I have found that some colours chip more than others. £5 is a really reasonable price for each polish and in my opinion they're more than worth it for the colour range alone.

Topshop Lipsticks
Lips in Innocent and Pillow Talk & Louise Gray Junkyard Nail Polish

Although I don't wear lipsticks a lot I couldn't resist buying a couple even if it was just for their cute packaging! Innocent is the one I wear the most and I love that it isn't too drying which is the thing that tends to put me off wearing lipstick. Pillow Talk is a little bit too pink for my skin tone so I don't reach for it very often but there are lots of other colours in the range which would probably suit me better.

I love that Topshop have some products that aren't part of the core line so when this Louise Gray polish was released I couldn't resist making a purchase. It looks lovely on top of other colours and is perfect to paint over your nails when they're a bit chipped as it helps to add a bright pop of glitter.

I've heard lots of good things about Topshop's blushers so they're at the top of my wishlist but i'd love to hear about any other recommendations too.

  1. I'm not a fan of their nail polishes - they don't dry on my nails and then if they do, peel off easily - I dread to think how their peel off range would be for me! x

  3. I would really love to try their makeup but they only sell clothes where I live. The nail polishes and lipsticks look lovely though1
