The Winter Nail Polish Edit

This is my favourite time of year for wearing nail polish and I love anything red, navy or glittery during the festive season. I thought i'd put together a post featuring a few of my favourites along with some design ideas from Pinterest.

Nails Inc Red Glitter, Topshop Song & Dance, No7 Disco Ball

Essie Blanc is a great white base for any of the glitter polishes - No7 Glitter Ball gives a really wintery effect as it's a really fine glitter while Topshop Song & Dance is perfect for Christmas or New Year parties. I couldn't leave out a red glitter polish at Christmas so I chose this one from Nails Inc - I wouldn't say it's the best one out there but it's perfect for pairing with either a white or a red on Christmas Day.

Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus & Motcomb Street, Topshop Domestic Goddess, Essie Blanc

Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus looks more red toned on the photo but it's actually more of a deeper purple colour which I love to wear with a camel chunky knit jumper for the perfect wintery look. Motcomb Street is another colour I prefer to wear at this time of year - it's a dark navy shade that doesn't chip easily and also looks nice layered with a fine gold glitter polish.

I've mentioned Topshop's Domestic Goddess polish a few times before as it's a lovely dusky red/pink that is a bit different from any of the traditional red nail polish colours that you get. This is actually my second bottle as I wear it a lot and the formula perfect as it dries quickly and you only need a couple of coats.
