My Everyday Makeup

I love seeing the beauty products that people use everyday as it really gives you an insight into the ones that are actually worth buying. I got the idea for this post after looking through lots of my old posts and I found my everyday makeup from 2010 - back in the day when I thought Dream Matte Mousse was a good idea!

everyday makeup

Revlon Colorstay Foundation - I've been using this foundation for the past few years and it's definitely one of the only ones that works well with my skin type. I use Normal/Dry in Buff and apply it with the Zoeva 102 brush and unlike many other foundations it doesn't highlight my dry skin.

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer - I think almost every blogger has probably tried this and for me it's one of the best concealers out there and matches my skin tone perfectly. For under £5 you can't go wrong and I think I must have repurchased this almost ten times now!

Max Factor Blusher in Seductive Pink  - I bought this on a whim last year after looking through the blushers on almost every stand in Boots! It's a peachy pink shade that is very pigmented so you only need to touch it lightly with your brush to get a good colour payoff. I've used it a lot but you can hardly tell so I can see it lasting me a long time!

MAC Soft & Gentle Highlighter - I shared this highlighter in my recent MAC haul and it's become one of my favourites for giving my skin a bit of a glow. Soft and Gentle is definitely a favourite in the blogging community and I remember seeing it in a pixiwoo video when I first started blogging and wishing I could afford it!

Freedom Brow Pomade - This is another fairly new addition into my makeup routine and I bought it to replace my ELF eyebrow kit (not the one I shared in my 2010 post!!). I do think it might be a little bit dark for my eyebrows (I use medium) but this kind of product is one that you build up so i've been using it lightly with my MAC 208 brush which gives a more natural look.

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara - This mascara is another blogger favourite that i'm using at the minute. I either use this or the Max Factor False Lash Effect but this one is slightly wetter which makes it quicker to use in a morning! I do find it quite difficult to remove in comparison to other mascaras but that would be my only criticism as it doesn't smudge and is really affordable.

Carmex - My lips are really dry at the minute so Carmex has been a bit of a lifesaver. I use this every day as it's the perfect lipstick base or I occasionally use the Carmex Moisture Plus in Peach if I want to add a bit of colour to my lips.

Seventeen Lipstick in Beehive - This is one of my favourite lipsticks as it's really moisturising which means I can use it even when my lips are dry. It's the perfect 'my lips but better' colour and i'll definitely be repurchasing it when it runs out.

I also forgot to include Benefit Porefessional which gives the perfect base for my foundation and is another product i've repurchased a few times. I usually skip powder as my skin is quite dry at this time of year so a primer helps my foundation to last a bit longer. I only wear eyeshadow occasionally so I haven't included that in my everyday makeup but I am planning to share my favourite eyeshadows in another post soon.
