Five Good Things in February

February Favourites

1. I started February by finally driving on the motorway for the first time, nine months after I passed my test! I was a bit nervous but it went a lot better than I expected and it feels so good to have the freedom to travel anywhere I want! I've never found driving easy so i'd definitely recommend doing a post test course or a motorway lesson after you've passed as I wouldn't have had a clue what I was doing otherwise!

2. Keeping with last month's theme of including something sweet, i've been loving Baru Marshmallows recently. They were on offer so I couldn't resist picking up the Sea Salt Caramel and Coffee & Cream flavours to try - they're the perfect treat as they're individually wrapped so you don't have as much temptation to eat the whole box! My other favourites have been Reece's Peanut Butter Cups which I tried for the first time and can't get enough of, and Galaxy Golden Eggs which I need to eat lots of before they disappear from shops after Easter!

3. I went to my first Ice Hockey game last week, it's something i've always wanted to watch and I finally remembered to book some tickets. The Sheffield Steelers are at the top of the league so I was hoping it would be a good match and I wasn't disappointed as they won 7-0. Although I didn't really understand the game to begin with I did enjoy it and i'm already planning to go again soon!

4. Having a Boots a few minutes away from work doesn't help my bank balance and I finally gave in and treated myself to some of the new Barry M Speedy nail polishes colours. I bought Winning Streak and In A Flash but i'm tempted to buy a few more colours even though I don't need anymore nail polishes! I'm currently wearing In A Flash and it's such a lovely neutral shade that isn't too pink but isn't really pale either if that makes sense! With a top coat these don't chip easily and thanks to them being fast drying they don't smudge either - once you get into the habit of wearing fast drying nail polishes it's hard to go back!

5. I had around five inches cut off my hair last weekend and i'm so glad I was finally brave enough to do it! Although it's taken a bit of getting used to, i'm enjoying the much quicker washing and drying time and being able to style it a lot easier. I know there will be times when i'll miss my long hair as it's been really long for years but it's nice to have a change after spending months liking mid-length hair styles on Pinterest.  I don't think it will take long for it to grow back but i'll definitely be keeping it a shorter length now I know how convenient it is!

  2. I also love posts like this one! Those marshmallows sound so good, I wish more of them were veggie friendly so that I could enjoy them too! Well done for driving on the motorway. I haven't driven for about 2-3 years since passing my test but I just know I'd be terrified to go on one x
